Kata benda yang dapat dihitung jumlahnya dengan angka, meliputi kata-kata yang termasuk dalam common noun and collective noun

1.In the singular, they can be preceded by a / an or one

2.They have a plural form: -s or es

Uncount Table

Kata benda yang tidak dapat dihitung, meliputi kata-kata yang termasuk material noun 

       1.They are not immediately preceded by a / an or one

       2. They don’t have a plural form ( no final –s is added )

Contoh:

1 Windows are made of glass

Comparison

1.       Positive Degree

As…….as is used to say that the two parts of a comparison are egual or the same in same way.

Contoh:

·         Tono 19 years old

·         Didi 19 years old

·         Ani 18 years old

1.      Tono is as old as Didi

2.      Ani is not as old as Didi

3.      Mike came as quickly as he could

   2.   Comparative Degree

      The comparative compares “this/these, to, that/those”.

      Form:  -     Suffix-er- for one syllable

-          more- formore than one syllable word

-          less

      a comparative is followed by “than”.

·         er……………than

·         more………...than

·         less………….than

      Contoh:

            Tina 20 years old, Dina 18 years old

1.      Tina is older than Dina

2.      This book is more exspensive than that one

3.      This blue pan is less exspensive than the black

4.      Tom is much older than I am

   3.   Superlative Degree

      The superlative compares one part of a whole group to all the rest of the group.

      Form:  -     Suffix-est = for one syllable word

-          The most….. = formore than one syllable word

-          The least

      a superlative degree begins with “the”

·         the……….est

·         the most………

·         the least………

      Contoh:

1.      This building is the highest, building in this town

2.      This test is the most difficult test I’ve ever know

3.      This pen is the least exspensive of all

4.      David the most generous person I have ever known

5.      I have three books. These two are quite good, but this one is the best of all

Active Voice:

Kalimat yang subjektnya berbuat sesuatu atau melakukan sesuatu

Active

Simple Past	Subject + Verb2
Simple Present	Subject + Verb1
Present Continous	Subject + to be + Verb-ing
Present Perfect	Subject + Has/Have + Verb3
Past Continous	Subject + Was/Were + Verb-ing
Past Perfect	Subject + Had + Verb3

Contoh:

1 Jane is sweeping the floor now

2 They have hunted some rabbits

3 They were hunting some rabbits

4 Ana was recording our conversation

5 Dani has returned all my books

Passive Voice:
